| Palm Grove Golf Complex: All About Us
The Palm Grove Golf Complex site was once part of Huttons Meat Works and was later used as a Tip Site. These photos give an idea of the transformation that has taken place. With the focus on using environmentally sound processes we have managed to create a green oasis for everyone to enjoy.
Wise use of water is a priority, so underground storage dams have been built to enable all water that falls on the course to be recycled.
The water is filtered through a series of ponds, one of which is full of beautiful Koi fish. The fish let us know that the water is clean and healthy. The Longnecked Turtles taking up residence along with many different types of frogs are also a good sign that all is well!
Because we recycle the water to irrigate the course all weeding has to be done by hand and especially made fertilisers used so that we don't contaminate the water supply with chemicals. This makes Palm grove a haven for wildlife and many creatures have made it their home. To help them we have left several areas of bushland untouched to provide a good habitat for them to live and breed in.
Our aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly place for families to enjoy, have fun together getting some fresh air and a little exercise in beautiful surroundings. So why not pop in and say hello, have a look around and maybe feed our very friendly fish?
